Chrome 4.0 (Beta)
And the people rejoiced, for the new browser was born. From the great google server was released Chrome 4.01, with shiny new...shininess?
Well, there's a bit more than shininess that new. Apparently it's even faster than before, and some tweaking to the V82 engine and other things. But the biggest change is the addition of extensions, and bookmark synchronisation.
The extensions section is basically filling in the hole which was in use for themes in Chrome 33 allowing all sorts fun things to happen to your browser. Some of the things you really need are finally here - the wonders of having AdBlock support makes me happy. Nonetheless, do think before added some of them - there's a few which look like data miners, and some which almost advertise the fact.
Anyway, time for a quick conclusion: CHROME ROCKS!
- 1 ↑ The browser, not the operating system. Even Google doesn't push version that fast :P
- 2 ↑ That's the JavaScript engine for those who don't know. It makes all the shiny things happen. Like Facebook loading things magically. And people can track you.
- 3 ↑ Which always seemed a bit pointless to me - Chrome is mainly useful because it's light and simple. No needless colours or images.
