This week is going to be a fun week. Between a 2000 word history essay that I'm yet to pick a title for (FridayThursday), a group project report and presentation for which the base content is not complete (Friday) and the fact I have a job with the Institute of Biomedical Engineering here at Imperial College, work for which I need to get done before I leave in order to do the upcoming term (Friday).
Thusly, I spent today performing the best preparatory tasks: backing up CDs to magnetic media, the tagging of musics, and playing Portal. I, in fact, have almost completed Portal's main plot now, with about 80 minutes of game time under my belt. I'll refer anyone who thinks I'm a bit behind he times to XKCD 606
And now, I'm writing a blog post. By tradition it's nearly 4am, and I really should be asleep by now - but that just wouldn't be fun. Of course, my current state leaves me slightly without point, let alone rhyme or reason, so little of use will be said.
I do, have some good news: footnotes will shortly be linked nicely in the posts. For those of you how visit with scripts enabled, you may also eventually see the footnotes in a floating box when hovering over the reference (this idea is currently undergoing proper testing for compatibility, correct positioning, and not being a f**king nuisance). News is less good on the javascript free commenting front - an issue which has been raised with me on a number of occasions. At some point, I'll be searching the web for ideas. And, if the worst comes to the worst, the blog may move to a more usable blog hoster. Hopefully, some combination of making the page names consistent and Google's site management tools might even allow me to carry forth the page links.
There again, I don't know if they'll let you change the link preferences beyond including or excluding the "www."
