News? What News?
Ugh. I really dislike being ill. It saps too much energy. I don't entirely recall why I missed writing a post last weekend (there was a party on Saturday, but that doesn't really account for Sunday). And I missed my normal Wednesday evening slot to a combination of headaches, a New Year's Eve party (which included our attempt at doing an interpretative dance version of Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody"), and large amount of Go.
Further to this, I haven't done any coding all week, nor have I been keeping up with the news. Although the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Bill is going through what is most likely a fascinating Commons Committee phase, and the mess that was the Lord's Committee phase of the Parliamentary Voting System and Constituencies Bill (which showed up a large number of problems with the current system of government in this country) finally being resolved1, and a wide variety of technical topics, such as the exhaustion of IPv4 space, I've been more paying attention to the metaphorical RSS feed of my body temperature.
My drafts folder also didn't shed much enlightenment on what I could do quickly for a blog post. Consisting of three highly technical posts which need to be expanded, reworked, and then very carefully edited (unlike the rest of my work, which I often just throw together on the ), a rather drawn out and badly worded thought on machine consciousness, and a collection of esoteric programming snippets.
So, here we are. A post complaining about my lack of things I can post. And illness. A meta-blog-post, if you will. But one with a slight purpose. As I'm hoping for my mind to clear up in the next couple of days, I'll be (hopefully) getting an actual post up very soon. What it contains, however, will be influenced by you. I know it's too much to ask to leave a comment, but I also know that most of my readers bump into me often enough, and I'd like to hear your thoughts on what topic you'd like me to write on.
